10. Activities:
- Give each student a picture from the "Mira" story on a blank piece of drawing paper. Tell them to draw (dibuja) and color (colorea) their favorite weather using the story as a background. When they are finished they can write a sentence that describes the weather and what is happening in the Mira illustration. (Escriban una frase que discribe el tiempo en sus dibujos y que pasa en la ilustración. Por ejemplo, Hace sol cuando el doctor pasa por la calle.)
- Post the pictures around the room and ask the students to look at each picture and keep track of how many pictures show each type of weather.

- Ask the students questions about the results, such as, how many students drew each type of weather (¿Cuántos estudiantes dibujaron hace frío?) and how many responses there are in total (¿Cuántas respuestas hay en total?). Also ask what the weather is like when certain things are happening. (¿Qué tiempo hace cuando la señora le da comida a los pájaros?)
Assessment: Are the students’ pictures labeled with a complete sentence? Did they participate appropriately in the tally activity? Can they interpret the graph and answer questions about it or do they need additional prompting from the teacher?
